Miss Patty was born in Chicago and got her start in the restaurant business at an early age. She worked in the kitchen at Ivory’s Shrimp House; learning how to cut potatoes, peel shrimp, and keep a clean kitchen. Occasionally, she could go back in the cooking area and assist with the cooking of shrimp, chicken, and fish. A job which she never forgot! Miss Patty would go on to continue her love and passion in the kitchen by hosting many family dinners and political party receptions. Miss Patty opened her first gourmet mobile food truck in 2012 (The Food Patty Wagon), and her second truck in 2015 (Miss Patty’s Seafood-N-Chicken Cuisine). Miss Patty has opened her first brick & mortar location naming it, Miss Patty’s Southern Soul & Seafood Kitchen. The restaurant name comes from her Roots; her mother was from Arkansas, and her father was from Mississippi, both relocated to Chicago where Miss Patty was born. Miss Patty says that she gets her Southern from the South and her Soul from the South side of Chicago!
